Spending time with my honey's family was awesome. I am truly falling love with this family. They are amazingly wonderful. Now I don't wonder why my sweetheart missed her family so much. Family is something very important to me. I believe that family is essential part of happiness in this life. Someday I really want to have my own family.....
The Family: A Proclamation to the World
We, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.
All human beings?male and female?are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.
In the premortal realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshiped God as their Eternal Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body and gain earthly experience to progress toward perfection and ultimately realize his or her divine destiny as an heir of eternal life. The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally.
The first commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God’s commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force. We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.
We declare the means by which mortal life is created to be divinely appointed. We affirm the sanctity of life and of its importance in God’s eternal plan.
Husband and wife have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children. “Children are an heritage of the Lord” (Psalms 127:3). Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, to teach them to love and serve one another, to observe the commandments of God and to be law-abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives?mothers and fathers?will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations.
The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities. By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners. Disability, death, or other circumstances may necessitate individual adaptation. Extended families should lend support when needed.
We warn that individuals who violate covenants of chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilities will one day stand accountable before God. Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets.
We call upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society.
I talked to one of my best friends from PNG. I have been calling her since last few weeks, and finally I got hold of her. Well, she announced me big news that she is getting married next year. I was so shocked because she never seemed interested in guys. I mean she is not lesbian or anything, but she is like a boy. But I am very happy for her. She is quitting BYU-H and moving to U.K. Hopefully she will have wonderful family and good time with her husband. I guess all my lady best friends are all married or engaged now……which is good thing!!
I just talked to my mom on the phone. She calls me often and on. She is such a wonderful person, and I respect her more than anybody else. She has done so much for me, yet she still thinks that she hasn't done enough. Every single woman has a great potential to become a wonderful mother. I think that being a mother is the most precious and magnificent occupation on earth. I am so grateful for my mom, and she is and always will be my special person.
Song for Mama ~ Boyz II Men
You taught me everything And everything you’ve given me I always keep it inside You’re the driving force in my life, yeah There isn’t anything Or anyone I can be And it just wouldn’t feel right If I didn’t have you by my side You were there for me to love and care for me When skies were grey Whenever I was down You were always there to comfort me And no one else can be what you have been to me You’ll always be you always will be the girl In my life for all times
You’re always down for me Have always been around for me even when I was bad You showed me right from my wrong Yes you did And you took up for me When everyone was downin’ me You always did understand You gave me strength to go on There was so many times Looking back when I was so afraid And then you come to me And say to me I can face anything And no one else can do What you have done for me You’ll always be You will always be the girl in my life
Mama, mama you know I love you Oh you know I love you Mama, mama you’re the queen of my heart Your love is like Tears from the stars Mama, I just want you to know Lovin’ you is like food to my soul
I talked to my sweetheart today. It is always good to hear her voice, which gives me strength to go on. She is beautiful and has wonderful heart. She always encourages me to do the right thing. Great example. I am so grateful for her love and support. Even though she is in Hawaii, and I am in Japan, we feel our love each other every single moment. I love her so much.
You're special In all the world there's no one like you. And since the beginning of time, there has never been another person like you. No one has your smile, your eyes, your nose, your hair, your hands, your voice. No one can be found who has your handwriting, your taste in food, clothing, music and art. No one sees things just as you do. In all of time there has been no one who laughs like you or cries like you. And what makes you cry or laugh will never produce identical laughter or tears in anyone else. You're the only one in all of creation with your set of abilities. Oh, there will always be someone who is better at one of the things you're good at; But no one in the universe can reach the quality of your combination of talents, ideas, abilities and feelings. Like a room full of musical instruments, some may excel alone; But none can match the symphony sounds when all are played together. You're a symphony. Through all of eternity no one will ever look, talk, walk, or think like you. You’re special and rare: And because of your great value you need not attempt to imitate others; But we'll accept and celebrate your differences. You're beginning to realize it's no accident that you're special; That God made you for a purpose, and must have had a job for you that no one else can do as well as you. Out of billions of applicants only one is qualified; Only one has the right combination of what it takes, and that one is you; Because you're special.
After finish working, I went to eat shabu-shabu with one of my co-workers. He is pretty fun to hang out with. We tried to eat only meat to get full. I guess he is not used to just eating meat only to get full, so it was pretty hard for him after while. It is my favorite time when I'm eating a good food. A good food makes me smile….
Smile is something very important for each one of us. I always believe that people, who smile more, will have better life. More you smile, you will be happier. One of the prophets of old, Nephi explained that definition of smile. “…to be Spiritually-Minded Is Life Eternal.” SMILE Whenever you are spiritually minded, you are smiling. Get rid of bad thought, anger, temptation, and self-center minded. That destroys people's life and leads to miserable life as well. Keep having a good thought, positive thinking, and especially love for one with another. That brings joy and happiness into our life. So I encourage myself to smile always so that I can be the happiest man of all.
Today was my day-off, and I went to buy a P-kun’s birthday present. I believe that his birthday was close to Christmas. What I got for him was the Master Grade Gundam Mark II. He loves Gundam, and actually he is the one who influenced me to start watching this awesome cartoon. Gundam is not just a robot cartoon. It has a lot of message in it. Hope everyone would have opportunity to watch this cartoon somehow.
Today, I had a chance to talk to my sweetheart, and also chat with Minami-kun, and Amy. Chatting with Amy was very short time, but sounds she has been doing well and get ready for her wedding… Minami-kun always cracks me up. I never get tire of talking to him. Sad thing is he is still a single. I guess he has to build it first, and then they will come. My lovely lady is always motivating me to go forward. She is the great example, and I really need her for me to learn and progress. She sent me some pictures and that made my day.
All my friends at BYU-H are very important to me. I made a lot of friends, and plus I found some true friends there. I got lost contact with few of my true friends, but they are always in my heart.
A True Friend A true friend is someone you want near when on death’s bed. A true friend is someone you want to be with when well too. A true friend is someone you naturally want to take troubles to. A true friend is the first one to be happy about your good news A true friend is the first person you want to tell when you’ve solved a problem. A true friend is someone you want to tell things you don’t want to others to know, but at same time is someone who doesn’t inquire after your secrets. A true friend is someone you want to rely on when your heart is pained, however, it is also someone who doesn’t use that reliance for his or her own purposes. A true friend is someone who will be at your side with bended knee when you’ve fallen down, but has forgotten they have done so when you’re back on your feet. A true friend is someone who has a shoulder you can cling to and cry on when sad. But when happy, that person is someone who will laugh heartily with you. A true friend is someone on whose cheeks can be seen a trail of tears when you’re suffering, but has a sparkle in their eye when you are cheerful. A true friend is someone whose words of comfort is the tremor of pain, but whose voice carries a melody when rejoicing together. A true friend is one who praises well your merits, but also endures well your shortcomings. A true friend is one who shows no signs of contempt even when you error. But that person also never forgets to give words of advice so you don’t make the same mistake twice. A true friend is someone who is proud of your success, but in doing so, doesn’t try to emphasize that help. A true friend is someone who feels satisfaction when you make them happy, but even though you may disappoint, that person will never hold it against you. A true friend is someone who will tell you things, even that which is painful. And that person, when told something painful, will not be angered. A true friend is someone who does extraordinary favors for you, but though having done so, never forces on you a sense of obligation. A true friend is someone who offers a helping hand to make your burdens lighter, but only feels it a privilege to have been allowed to do so. A true friend is someone who gives you all they can carry, but doesn’t keep records of what those things were. A true friend is someone who, even when everyone is saying the worst about you, says the very best about you.
Somehow I got done with my job early today. I usually get at least 30min over time to finish up my work. I feel very good today. Plus I got day off tomorrow.
Well, I was reading a scripture today and it talks about humility. How important it is to be a humble. Life here on earth, we have tendency to seek our own interest, and sometime we become self-centered. That’s very dangerous because it stops our progression and eternal happiness.
When I was twenty years old, I served mission for my church. I was sent to California. First city I went was Stockton, where was known as the most ghetto city in California. There were so many crazy people who does drug, smoke marihuana, sleeping with teenagers etc. Yet, even living that kind of place, there were always humble people who are seeking for a little happiness. Who would that be… kids. All the children are so pure and humble. We can learn so much from them. Christ says, “be like a little child” The Lord didn’t mean that we should acting like a kid. We should be humble like children. I remember one boy who wanted to study a scripture with me. We always sat on driveway in hot hummed summer and reading scripture together. One time I asked, “Why do you want to study a scripture?” He replied, “Because I want to be a good boy so that my mom won’t shout at me.” This beautiful boy wanted to study scripture to become a better person for his mom. How humble he was. His mom even needed to read scripture more than he did. Later on, his mom took his scripture away and told him not to see me any more. That was pretty sad, but I know that he will keep a good spirit with him.
“Be humble! Recognize that everything you have ? your time, your talents and skills, your health and energy, your accomplishments, and your very lives- come as free gift from the Lord. How grateful we ought to be to think that He knows who we are, and that He is waiting to guide our every steps.” (Gordon B. Hinckley)
It has been for a long time since I stopped writing my blog. I guess it is time for me to start doing again. Today was pretty cold. I was gonna go to the church this morning, but I was talking to one of my co-workers on a phone until this morning, so I slept in. Actually, after talking to her, I called my sweetheart and talked to her for a while. Then I finally slept 6:00am. I got to repent being lazy to go to the church. Oh well, this week is gonna be real cold. I think I better go buy a jacket or court or whatever keeps me warm. Miss Warm Aloha State….. Anyway, hope whoever read this blog will enjoy... peace!
